CoderDocks is not just another coding club — we're a community connected through lines of code. We've got people from all kinds of backgrounds who come join us: teachers, lecturers, artists, and more. But don't worry — we're coders first. We have real coders here, not just a collection of every different profession under one roof. We started this because we wanted to bring people together in a very ironic way: taking the one profession that's mostly solo, and making it duo.
Come for the fun of it — the pizza, the people, the Saturday afternoons. But if you want to wear the CoderDocks name on the national stage, that's a different bar, and we've got the ones who can clear it.
Saturdays, 12pm – 8pm
Thanks to a local pizza place that sponsors CoderDocks, everyone gets pizza at a price that doesn't hurt — or bring your own order if you've got a craving for something else.
How you spend your Saturday is up to you. Some people come to work on their own projects, some just watch and soak it in, some are there purely to relax and be around the energy. Others jump straight into the structured stuff. Opt in, opt out — your call, as long as you're keeping up with the important dates.
Getting into the CoderDocks hackathon league isn't automatic.
You need at least two Saturdays of structured sessions under your belt, and a GitHub or project history worth showing. From there, it goes in front of the club — everyone gets a look, everyone weighs in. Half review, half initiation.
Once you're in, you're representing CoderDocks against other clubs across the state — and beyond.
